Interesting topic, Jodi. I'm in the actions speak louder than words camp. Fixing it so it doesn't happen again says a lot. Saying, "I'm sorry." and continuing with the offending behavior is useless. Your guy does have a good point, though. If you need an apology to make it right, you are giving your power away.
