Is Fiber Really Necessary For Digestive Health?

You may have heard that a properly functioning digestive system necessitates the consumption of dietary fiber.

But does it?

You may have heard dozens of doctors recommend a daily regimen of fiber, like psyllium seed.

It improves regularity and you’ll feel better.

And you should eat vegetables because they’re so good for you and you need fiber, right?

Did it work for you?

It didn’t work for me.

Were you told to drink more water to make your fiber supplement work better? I was.

It didn’t work.

The USDA website¹ states a woman eating a 2000 calories diet should consume 28 grams of fiber per day.

That’s more fiber than I’ve consumed in the last six months.

The positive outcome — no pun intended — of consuming virtually NO fiber, resulted in a significant improvement in my digestive health.

My long list of uncomfortable digestive issues disappeared.
